Let's Get Together and Feel Alright

We have generally established that like many babies, Christopher's fussy time is sometime between 5PM and 9PM. Yesterday, I tried to preempt his maximum fussiness by trying some recommended strategies from kellymom.com. We arrived home after being at the doctor (more on that later) and got Chris out of the car seat quickly. It was pretty nice out so we sat on the back patio while Kasey stalked a bunny in the neighbor's yard. Chris loves feeling the breeze on his face and he closes his eyes gently when we're out and it hits him. So cute! He looks like he's just soaking it all in. We were out until it got too hot and sunny for us and then we headed upstairs. I also heard that some babies find dancing to be soothing. I put on the Bob Marley playlist (for the first time since we listened to it 50 times during labor!) and started dancing and singing with Christopher. He seemed to be enjoying it and put up with me for half an hour. During this whole thing, he was mesmerized by the ceiling fan so that may have helped my cause. Anyway, this strategy could also help me lose the rest of my baby weight as I was sweating at the very end. Perhaps one reason for this is our son now weighs approximately 12 pounds! We went to the doctor to check out a rash on Chris which turned out to be nothing serious and they weighed him while we were there. He's also now 21.5 inches long. He was so cute when we were there, smiling at the doctor and looking at himself in the mirror. He's getting to be such a big boy!
PS--Alright, who voted that Chris is going to be an Islander fan???
