Smiles in the morning

Someone was all giggles and smiles this morning. And he wanted to cuddle with his dog too...

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I am thankful for all of you who have been following us for more than four years. We had a lovely Thanksgiving dinner (until Chris got sick and returned half of his meal to me later in the evening!) with family and friends. Grandma and Grandpa Woglom are in town and Grammy joined us too for our first Thanksgiving dinner in our new house. Also, what holiday would be complete without the Eakin family? Mary, Dan, Tristan and Mia joined us for dinner as well. It was a lovely dinner (thanks mostly to Hen House and their yummy food) and we enjoyed the evening with a great group of people. Chris developed some stomach bug that hit him hard at the end of dinner and has essentially lasted until today. It's made for a somewhat mellow weekend with our visitors! We did manage to get out on Friday to visit a beautifully decorated Union Station. Here is Chris with Jan and Eric...
They also had a kid train set up that Chris rode. He is such a rule follower that when the little old man running the train told the kids to keep their hands inside the train, Chris took him very seriously. He held his hands on his knees and would barely lift them up to wave to us as he went by!

I LOVE that plane!

We took a random trip this afternoon to Franklin Park. We ran and played a bunch and then just as we were going to leave, a man (who we have seen before) showed up with his remote control model plane. As you can imagine, we stayed to watch and Chris was so excited! I tried to capture a little of his excitement on video here. It is not exactly like his reaction when he first saw the plane but you will get the idea...

Election Day

Chris would like everyone to know that he voted for Monster Truck Mater. In case you haven't voted yet and were wondering where that candidate is on the ballot and why you haven't heard of him, you have to write him in and his campaign budget was quite small. I heard he was funded by an unknown dollar-aire from Johnson County, Kansas.
