Boo hiss, car seat!

So we had a great morning today--Christopher had a nice breakfast, Mama got to shower before Daddy went to work and while Chris was enjoying his bouncy seat. We also took a 30 minute nap, watched some Olympic soccer, and were very excited to head over to Prairie Village for a La Leche League meeting. Apparently, we were the only ones who knew about the meeting because no one else was there. Chris and I were not going to miss a beat so we breastfed anyway in the nursery at the church where the meeting was supposed to be. Christopher also left a lovely smelling diaper in the trash can for them. All was going well until we got back on 75th street to head home. Now for those of you not familiar with our neck of the woods, Prairie Village is not exactly close to our house and you have to take a bunch of side streets to get there. So of course there is not a highway to jump on and go fast when your newborn throws a fit in his carseat. No worries though--that's what side streets are for! Christopher was pretty worked up and we were still very far from our house so we pulled over and had a quiet moment on Village Road before continuing home. After that Chris was good to go until we got home and I could get him out of his seat. Anyway, that was our morning. We are meeting our friend Jaime for lunch today so hopefully that will go smoothly for Christopher. I'll just have to load him up before we head out!
