Le dernière soir

It is our last evening in Paris (wah) and we spent some time in a beautiful garden and the rest of the evening in a very fun little neighborhood. After our afternoon rainstorm, we walked down to the Garden du Luxemburg. On our way, we passed a beautiful fountain as well as the Eglise Saint-Sulpice...

The garden itself was beautiful. A lot of the grass areas are off limits, but that essentially keeps everything looking nice. There are tons of chairs all over the place and on a lovelier day I can picture hundreds of people just sitting everywhere, talking and relaxing.

We even found another carousel for J to ride...

Next, we took our last metro ride up to Rue Montorgueil, a little pedestrian street lined with shops and cafes in the Marais neighborhood of Paris. It was fun to stroll down this street and we had our last Parisian dinner in a cafe. Of all the things we've done here this week, I think eating leisurely dinners and lunches (and crepes) in the cafes has been my favorite part!
