Farewell Galway

We said goodbye to Galway today. This is definitely one of my favorite places in Ireland and we hope to return one day! We spent the morning walking around town, checking out some of the shops, and having coffee/hot chocolate. Here is a picture of the Park House Hotel, where we stayed during our visit...
One last thing we did was to visit St. Nicholas's Church which, according to them, is actually the place where Christopher Columbus prayed before his trip to the new world. So either I got it wrong in a previous entry or every church in Galway claims that he prayed there!

After that, we were back on the train to Heuston Station in Dublin...

We returned to our same hotel in Dublin where we stayed last week and we were old pros on the Dublin scene. We had dinner and ice cream over in Temple Bar. By the way, the boys were concerned that they were missing the PHS ice cream social tomorrow night. Well, they have definitely made up for it on this trip!

Any time we've been at our respective hotels in the morning or evening, the boys have been checking out Irish children's television. Initially, upon watching a little bit of said television, I thought if we ever moved here, I could certainly find a job in children's programming because it was frankly bad. Until, that is we discovered Shaun the Sheep. Now this might be an English show but we have savored every moment of this show and the kids get so excited if it happens to be on in the morning when we are getting ready for our day. It is pure awesomeness...
