We spent Memorial Day weekend in Upstate New York with Grandpa T and Nancy. Although it was a little chilly and rainy, the boys had a great time! Usually when we go there, we don't plan too much other than playing outside but when the weather disagrees with us, we search for stuff to do indoors. There were some days and a couple afternoons where the weather cleared up so Chris went fishing with Grandpa T and J spent hours swinging and asking Daddy to push him again...
One of our indoor activities was to go to Cooperstown to visit the Baseball Hall of Fame. It's been about ten years since we went there and it was Christopher's first visit. Daddy ran into his arch nemesis, the Philly Fanatic!
The boys showed off their Royals gear in front of the Royals locker room...
And Jonathan wondered why Mommy made him stand in front of this funny looking chicken!
There was an exhibit of old baseball photography in one of the galleries. Despite the sign, I thought the beagle was very cute...
Another day, we visited the Oneonta Butterfly Conservatory which actually has far more than just butterflies. We had the whole place to ourselves and the boys got to pet bunnies, guinea pigs, and lizards, among other creatures...
Most importantly, we had lunch and ice cream at Friendly's as well as east coast pizza and eggplant parm. A little taste of home!
