Backyard Happenings

Kasey finally decided to make herself comfortable on the outdoor couch, as we have expected her to do for awhile. All the running around with crazy Holly made her want to relax! The vegetable garden is blossoming like crazy! Below is one of the six zucchinis that we have currently growing back there. I can't wait to pick them and fry them up!

The kale is also going a little crazy. Time for kale salad!
One thing that fascinates Chris (and me) is the way his cucumber plant gives out these little "feelers" to grab onto and vine up the tomato cage! This plant has so many flowers on it that I am hoping will result in many cucumbers since Chris loves cucumbers...
This is the cantaloupe plant in Christopher's plot. It is getting a little crazy so we need to pick up some stakes to keep it from taking over the whole garden! It too has those little feelers so we have to train it a little to keep it under control...
Yesterday morning, we picked some lettuce...
 ... and some chard...
And then here is a boy who is very happy after swimming in the baby pool during Christopher's practice this morning...
