Cousins' Visit: Day 4

Today was the final full day of the cousins' visit. We went downtown and the kids started by taking a ride on the streetcar...

And then we took it back to Union Station, where they visited Science City. It was really fun! They tried out a bunch of the indoor exhibits and then went outside to try the new simple machines exhibition. Because of some rain earlier in the morning, we had the whole place to ourselves for the first bit of our visit! The favorite of the day was the zip line...

Christopher did a few daring things today including climbing up this... whatever it is!

 And he did the sky bike!

 Jonathan found his own fun activities inside. He loved this crane!

Everyone was pretty wiped out when we got back, given the non-stop activities we've been doing for the last few days. They had a movie afternoon and evening and also got some playing in. Jonathan was being a goofball while he was reading one of his Daniel Tiger books to Poppy...

Cousins' Visit: Day 3

The kids had another fun day together! In the morning, we visited Roe Park, which has a spray park and regular playground...

 Later in the day, we set up the triple slip and slide and they had a blast with that too!

After that craziness, we went to dinner at BRGR, followed by ice cream at Betty Rae's!

 Then we had the kids burn off all the sugar by running around in the driveway...

Cousins' Visit: Day 2

 The kids had another fun filled day today! They played outside all morning and there was even a little wrestling and boxing going on in the house...

 And cuteness outside...

 We thought they wore themselves (and Kasey) out...

 But then we went to Main Event in Olathe! They got their second wind there and tried the ropes course...

They also played a bunch of video games and a couple games of laser tag too...

It was a great afternoon! We came home and grilled out and now the kids are all curled up for a movie night: Moana!

The Cousins Are Coming!

 "Blow up the air mattresses, hide the breakable toys, cousins, cousins, here come the boys..." and girls! Those words are from a Tom Chapin song that we've listened to over the years and it reminds the boys of their cousins coming to visit. They are here and the kids have already had a full and fun day. We went to Christopher's camp to see his presentation from his acting camp and then went straight to the pool! Here is Bennett demonstrating his cannonball...

 Back home the boys played a little badminton in the backyard...

 ...until pizza arrived!

 And then these worn out kids enjoyed some popsicles on the patio...

It was a fun day for all!
