Actually going through the Flint Hills was beautiful! And it might not be as exciting as seeing the ocean or mountains but I think the openness of the plains is just gorgeous! On recommendation from my friend Danna, we stopped in Hays at the Sternberg Natural History Museum. It was a good break from the road!
Our next stop was Colby, KS, "The Oasis of the Great Plains." I'm not kidding. It even had palm trees...
Finally we made it to Goodland, KS and the boys are chilling out and watching the Olympics...
