Celebrating Nanny

This evening we celebrated what would have been Nanny's 97th birthday with a selection of some of our favorite dishes that she used to make. Nanny was an awesome cook so to narrow the food selection down to three things was no easy task. We chose stuffed cabbage (but we did ours vegetarian style rather than with ground beef--still very yummy!), carrot casserole, and peanut butter rice krispy treats. On top of that, we ate on our wedding china with my other grandmother's silver, Aunt Elsie's crystal wine glasses and the Peter Rabbit china set from the Omohundro family. It was an all-inclusive family dinner and a very fun way to remember a very special lady!
