Visitors from the East
Grandma Jan and Grandpa Eric have arrived to see their grandsons! Here they are meeting Jonathan for the first time...

Today, as part of Spirit Week at Pembroke, the kids can wear jerseys of their favorite team. Chris doesn't have a specific jersey yet so we got him a Royals playoff shirt and he is very excited to wear it today. Although we've thoroughly brainwashed him to love the Yankees and root (ALWAYS) against the Red Sox, our Kansas City boy is going to support his Royals during this exciting time!

Visitors
We've been settling into our routine with Jonathan and our friends and family are starting to come to visit us! The other day our neighbor, Susan (veteran mother of 4 grown boys herself), came over to hang out with a sleeping Jonathan and a reading-and-doing-his-homework Christopher. Yesterday, Danna and her kids came to visit. It was wonderful for Chris to be able to play with his good friends while we chatted about things totally uninteresting to kids who are 10 and younger. Here are some pics of our friends (Lahna is not pictured but thought J was very cute).
Later, Grammy will be coming by to visit and Grandma Jan and Grandpa Eric are making their trek across the US to join us later this afternoon. It's a beautiful rainy day (especially since I don't have to go anywhere) so I'm off to go snuggle with my new little guy.

What Does the Fox Say
Jonathan got all decked out in his sweet little fox pajamas for his first visit to the pediatrician. He checked out great and we'll go back in another month to see how he's growing. When we got back the dogs welcomed him with sniffs and kisses. Here is Holly, who kept her distance for awhile but is getting on board now with the whole baby thing!
