Park Time

Jonathan, Noah and Christopher had a great morning at a new park! They played, climbed, slid, and swung. It was a beautiful day to be outside!

Flying Kid

J took flight this morning at My Gym...

Climbing Kid

Christopher is now into his fifth week of climbing and he is getting stronger and faster at getting to the top of his courses. He said this morning that he is less and less afraid of going up high. The course he did yesterday was the highest course he has done so far. He is loving this class so much! And on top of it, he tries to climb everything he sees now--closet doors, the side of staircases, rocks outside... At school they have a new rock wall this year (the principal is an avid rock climber) and they are going to have the chance to climb today in gym class so Chris is very excited!

Cousins

J can finally say all three of his cousins' names! Here they are (with Bennett being whispered)...

Hello, It's Me

Jonathan is a very big fan of Adele, especially her 25 album. Now that we've finally fixed our speakers, he requests her music all the time. He'll say "Adele" and then said "Hi... Me" for her Hello song...

The Elevator Song

Jonathan loves this song that they do at story time at the library. It is called the "Elevator Song." Thank goodness Chris wants to pick him up for it! My arms were getting tired!

Back to the Trail

Yesterday afternoon, we went back over to our trail that we used to frequent near our old house in Lenexa. We went last week too but brought the dogs, so there was no picture taking that day! Anyway, we had a great time hiking on the trail and we stopped at the park to watch the trains and play. Jonathan loved the slide and Christopher found a rock wall to try his new climbing skills on!

A Ban on Bunnies

We built a wall... to keep the bunnies out.. and make our garden great again...
After our initial spring planting of coneflowers and black-eyed susans failed due to being eaten by bunnies, we retried the planting today. This time, however, we put up a temporary chicken wire fence to keep the bunnies from eating them until they grow bigger and get spikier leaves. Also, our border patrol officers, Kasey and Holly, will be policing the yard...

Comfy

You mean I can't sleep in here in J's chair all night??

Arby's

During the Olympics, Christopher saw so many commercials and got really good at performing some of them. On our drive to Colorado, Chris saw so many signs for Arby's, which was one of his favorite commercials during the games. He also said "Arby's" so much that J caught on. Together, these two vegetarian boys have created their own ad for Arby's...

Goofballs

Our weekend was much more fun than just this, but the boys were entertaining themselves after dinner tonight with the little push wagon...

Happy Birthday Kauffman Center

This afternoon, on this First Friday downtown, we headed to the Kauffman Center with Grammy for their 5 year celebration of being open as an arts center. It was a lot of fun! They had activities for the kids out on the front lawn and free performances throughout the afternoon and evening. We watched ballet dancers in the main lobby and a string quartet in Helzberg Hall. It was absolutely perfect weather here today and we enjoyed ourselves tremendously!

Since we got downtown before the celebration was open, we parked at Union Station and took the streetcar for its entire route since Grammy hadn't been on it before. The boys might not look that excited in this picture but they did love it!
