Back East Part 1

As I said in yesterday's post, we recently returned from spending two weeks on the east coast visiting our families. The first part of our trip was spent in Shelter Island where Chris and JJ had all kinds of fun with their cousins! We went to the beach, played outside, went out on the boat and ate lots of ice cream. Chris got to have a little birthday celebration too complete with Grandma Jan's always-amazing chocolate cake!

Celebrate!

We celebrated Christopher's 7th birthday today at Emerald City Gymnastics with his friends and Kansas family (Grammy!). Chris chose basketball to be his theme this year and I (and by "I" I mean Hen House) made another awesome cake complete with three dimensional basketball and hoop. Our big boy had a great time running around with his friends!

And it was so nice, as usual to celebrate with our old friends, the Titus'. I can't believe these two are so big now!

A great time was had by all and hopefully everyone will sleep well tonight...

Village Fest

Happy 4th of July everyone! The Pariso clan joined us for Village Fest in Prairie Village to celebrate the day. There were police and fire fighters, a petting zoo, music pony rides and we topped it all off with cotton candy. Yum!

Chrissie and her family have arrived! JJ and Holly have introduced themselves to Morgan (aka Mei Mei) and the boys have not left the trains yet.

While Christopher practices the piano, Jonathan likes to crawl under the bench and help with the foot pedals!
