Super Chris

We went with Grammy and some of Chris' neighbor friends down to Crown Center today to see a free exhibit about being a planet-saving superhero. The kids checked out a lot of different stations that taught them ways to reduce, reuse and recycle. But most importantly, there were capes! And so this boy decked himself out in a green cape. Here he is with some of the girls…
And Chris helped Mary Jane buckle up and learn how to drive a Smart Car…
And since this blog is eventually going to include both Woglom boys, I will share an updated pregnant-Mommy photo…
The nursery is also starting to come together. There have been some updates since this picture but here is the fabulous new carpet to make both the nursery and Christopher's room a whole lot more cozy…
Baby Wogs #2 is moving around quite a lot. Last night I think he was doing jumping jacks because both Brian and Chris saw my stomach leap from across the room! A sign of things to come?

Swimming with Pups

Our neighbors across the street were kind enough to invite Christopher and I over to swim in their pool. We are having some carpeting done in our house today and needed to stay close to home so we appreciated the chance to enjoy the outdoors! For awhile Chris just enjoyed the pool on his own but later on he was joined by Shelby and Lexus, our neighbors' two German Shepherds. He got such a kick out of swimming with these two dogs and can't wait to do it again!

Working for a Living

After 6 years, Christopher is finally going to earn his keep with his first summer job. Our friends and neighbors down the street, the Halls, have asked Chris to water their plants while they are away on vacation. He has been working hard each day to keep the plants watered and happy, especially now that it is 99 degrees today!
He is also keeping busy by putting together the lego sets he received for his birthday. It's really cool to watch him because he is starting to put the sets together mostly on his own. He needs help with certain things and the sets meant for older kids hold his attention for only so long but he is getting good at following the instructions and matching his work with the pictures!

Party Time!

We celebrated Christopher's sixth birthday today with his friends from school as well as some long time friends at Pump it Up. Chris had a blast with all his friends and by the end, everyone was sweaty and exhausted. This year, Chris wanted a Star Wars party so here is what his cake and snacks looked like…

And the following pictures capture how much fun the kids were having. There are also some pictures of how crazy boys can be when they are 5 and 6 years old!

And finally, a couple family pictures...

Birthday fun

After Chris went to camp this morning (complete with magicians and a performance of Peter Pan) we all went out to lunch at, where else, Spin Pizza. Spin has been Christopher's choice in birthday lunches since 2012 and it is slowly becoming a tradition. Here are the boys after their pizzas…
Daddy took a half day so he could spend it with his boy and the two of them decided to have a super soaker water gun fight! Yesterday we had a small birthday party with the neighborhood kids for Chris and he got two water guns. They put them to good use today…

Happy 6th Birthday!

We want to wish our "little" boy a very happy 6th birthday!!! I can't believe it's been six years since he looked like this…

Fun with the Cousins!

This weekend Christopher (and his parents) had an awesome time when we were visited by Poppy, Elsie, and Bennett-- "my triplets," according to Chris-- as well as Grandma Jan, Grandpa Eric and Uncle Peter. The kids had so much fun together! And we all had a great time watching them partake in their fun. It was a jam packed few days, including a three night sleepover, swimming at the Woodside Pool, visiting Science City, Chris' t-ball game, running through sprinklers, an early birthday party and endless amounts of bike riding. It was fun to watch the kids interact with each other, come up with "inside jokes" (i.e.--1, 2, 3, butts), and just crack each other up. Again I took well over 350 pictures so I will try to include the best of the bunch. Enjoy!
