First T-Ball Game

Christopher had his first t-ball game today with his team, the Little Royals, composed mainly of kids from his class at school. The good thing was, there was no score keeping and each team bat through the line-up and then it switched to the next inning. The game began with a lot of dust kicking and everyone running after a hit ball but by the end, the kids were starting to put it all together. Here are some pics of Chris with his teammates…
On deck...
 Big hit!
Chris and the twins going for the ground ball...
 Smiling at his favorite person...
 Checking the signs...
 Picking up a grounder...
 Trying out first base...
 Game over...
 Go team!
The most important part of the day was that Chris said he had so much fun and wanted to play t-ball for the rest of his life!

Another Woglom Family Adventure

We took off again this weekend for a short trip up to Chicago to visit the Chen-Pariso clan. Above is a picture of Christopher with Bennett, the oldest of Chrissie and Jason's children. Chris was excited to have a sleepover in the same room with Bennett and his 2 year-old twin brothers, Connor and Riley. He certainly stayed up with the boys past their bedtimes but fun was had by all! As usual, Chrissie fed us as much food as she could and also took us into Chicago itself (they now live in a house in the burbs) to visit the Museum of Science and Industry. It was a very cool museum with lots of great exhibits including planes, trains, and a real-life captured German U-boat that we took a fascinating tour of. Here are some pics from our trip there…

On Saturday night, we had a great barbecue with some of Chrissie's friends and neighbors. There were many kids to run around with and they all pretty much wore each other out. We had a terrific time with our dear friends (Chrissie and I were reminiscing about how long we have been friends--we've known each other for 26 years and have been close friends for 20!) and look forward to getting all our boys together again soon!

Air show video

Here is video of one of the stunt planes we saw...

The Blue Angels taking off!

Christopher's Dream Weekend

The themes of this weekend were planes, planes, planes and dogs, dogs, cows.

We spent Saturday in a suburb of St. Louis for the Spirit of St. Louis Air Show in Chesterfield, Missouri. Sunday morning was spent at Purina Farms watching a dog agility show, regular dog show and visiting a hands on children's farm. If you know Christopher, you know that planes and dogs are possibly his favorite things in the world, so you can imagine how much fun he had! The air show was amazing and featured, among many things, the Blue Angels. Over the course of the weekend, I took 250 pictures so I'll try to pick out some of the better ones to share with you. Here are some pics from the air show…

No, this stunt plane is not crashing. It's just, you know, flying sideways!

Hey, hey, hey! Here comes Fat Albert...

The Blue Angels were amazing to watch! They were absolutely perfect, as you need to be when you are flying wing tip to wing tip at 400 miles per hour!

Chris was very happy with his souvenir and "flew" it all the way back to KC...

We also found a car we thought Christopher's cousin, Bennett might like due to the orange color...

Sunday morning involved our trip to Purina Farms. First we visited the petting zoo…

And Chris got to milk the cow, a little!

Then it was onto the really cool part--the dog agility demonstration! These dogs were incredible and showed how they could play frisbee, run an agility course and dive into a pool. Best of all, each of the dogs had been rescued from a shelter. Here are some pics from that event…

Looks like Kasey and Holly have some work to do… Or maybe they're just happy going for a walk! Anyway, it was a great weekend and we got to see some of Missouri's best farmland on the long drive home.

May Day

Today was May Day at Pembroke Hill and Chris and his classmates did a great job dancing for the May Queen. His partner was Finley and they danced very well together!
