Christopher took Grammy and I downtown today to visit his good friend Clifford, the big red dog. Kasey, a good friend of Clifford also, hooked us up with some VIP tickets to this already free exhibit at Crown Center. What a great exhibit it was! Christopher was very busy with the many activities they had for the kids. As you will see, he buttered up his canine pal with a huge biscuit and then tried to get Emily Elizabeth's digits.
Chris was also very busy watering Clifford's plants and playing (and dancing to, of course) some steel drum music.
As he moved through the exhibit, Christopher decided to be very useful by donning a mailman's uniform and delivering letters to all of Clifford's friends. He also got a brief job cooking at the restaurant in Emily's town. He actually served a burger to another little mail carrier too!
There was a great little tail slide on the back of a very large Clifford that Chris had fun on, but he needed a little help from Grammy.
And Grandpa Eric would be proud to know that CJ enjoyed being the captain of his very own boat! He set a good example by playing it safe with a Coast Guard approved life vest.
All in all we had a great time and when it got a bit crowded, Chris and I curled up and read a bunch of Clifford books in the reading corner. So many things make me proud of CJ but when he will sit and read book after book with me, the teacher in me gets a little vaclempt...
