Two Turn Tables and a Microphone

Well, not really two turntables, but one at least!

I thought the boys needed to know the way people used to listen to music so we purchased a Victrola. It also gave me a good excuse to get the Joshua Tree anniversary box set of 7 U2 records! They (especially Christopher) were fascinated with it! You can imagine that Chris was intrigued to figure out how the thing works. We also picked up a Chuck Berry record too!

Also, I've thought that Chris looks more like me and Jonathan, well, I'm not sure who he looks like. But I was at my mom's, looking through old albums, and came across this picture which Brian pointed out looks very much like Jonathan!

The eyes are definitely similar. I think I was about 2 or 3 in this picture!

The Boys

On Thursday the boys got their hair cuts together and were looking very dapper as they enjoyed the beautiful fall weather!

 Then this morning, Chris created a marionette (obviously)...

 ...and Jonathan previewed his Daniel Tiger Halloween costume!

Big Boy!

Jonathan had his 3 year-old appointment today and the conclusion is that he is a big boy! He was in the 95th percentile for weight and the 93rd for height. Everything else looked good and Dr. Hostetler encouraged Jonathan to use the potty now that he is three lol!

Reader

Today was the Children's Sabbath at our church at which the kids took over some of the roles of the service. Christopher signed up to be the scripture reader at the early service so here it is!

Monday night, after dinner, we went to Betty Rae's to celebrate Jonathan's birthday! Here is a picture of everyone in the van! Also, Jonathan celebrated the next day with his friends at school...

On Wednesday, we met Tiffany and Leatha for bagels and coffee and the boys were being their silly selves...

And this morning we were waiting on a sunny day (it was raining this morning) and wore our sunglasses anyway!

Happy third birthday to this sweet little boy! 

Party Time

Today we celebrated Jonathan's third birthday! His actual birthday is tomorrow but we had a great little party with family and friends this afternoon. The theme was Paw Patrol! The cake followed the theme... and most of the toys did too!

 It was a fun afternoon and we are looking forward to celebrating our little man even more tomorrow!
